Upscaling redraws every frame with AI, which takes a lot of computing. The server budgets about 100 minutes per minute of video (lower resolutions finish much sooner), so only videos up to 1 minute are accepted for now. You can close the page after submitting; the result stays in your tasks.

Live action uses the Real-ESRGAN model, for camera footage of people and places. Anime uses Real-CUGAN, for animation and illustration, with cleaner lines. Picking the other one won't fail; the result is just a bit worse.

2×, 3× or 4×, as long as width and height stay within 4000 pixels: up to 2× for 1080p, 3× for 720p and 4× for 480p or smaller. You'll see a warning right away if a video is too large for the scale you picked.
