FAQ
How is this different from turning up the volume?
Each file is measured by perceived loudness (EBU R128 / LUFS) and brought to the same target, rather than simply amplified, so all your clips sound equally loud.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, with no sign-in and no credits. Results only last until the page reloads, so download them first.
Will it clip or distort?
Peaks are kept below -1 dBTP. If the target can be reached by changing the overall volume, that's all it does; when a big boost would push peaks too high, the peaks are limited and the task says so.
Do the picture or format change?
Video pictures are copied as is; only the sound is re-encoded (AAC, or Opus for WebM). Audio keeps its format where possible: WAV, FLAC, MP3 and OGG stay the same, APE becomes FLAC, and others become M4A.
Is there a size limit?
Up to 1 GB per file, because of browser memory limits. Speed depends on your computer; 10 minutes of audio takes about 1–2 minutes.
